Developmental Services of Franklin County

Developmental Services of Franklin County (DSFC) was formed under the "SB40"
legislation in Franklin County in 1987. Under this legislation, money generated
through a county tax is designated to provide services for persons with developmental
disabilities.

Eligible persons have conditions such as mental retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy,
Autism, or similar conditions. They have difficulty in such areas as learning,
self-care, holding a job, or being independent.

Developmental Services of Franklin County offers programs as a direct service and
also provides services indirectly by supporting community-based programs and
agencies.
